In the Fall of 2007 COGS expanded the scope of programs offered. In addition to our traditional emphasis on worship, Sunday school for children, and service projects, COGS offers education classes/programs for youth and adults as well as expanded fellowship get together activities and events (e.g. after worship luncheons, talent show, bowling) for all ages. Being a self-organized and self-funded organization COGS relies on the involvement of members of the congregation in one or more of the standing committees: Worship, Facilities, Finance, Promotions, Education, Service and Fellowship. The second Sunday of every month, right after worship, is the set time for the committees to meet, though subject to change by the chair. Another way to get involved is to sign up for one of many support roles in the Sunday worship. In addition, the choir always welcomes new voices to join in, even on an occasional basis. |
